【摘要】:Sulfatesandchloridescanbefoundinfilterpluggingdepositsandfuelinjectordeposits.Theacceptabilityforuseofthefuelcomponentsandthefinishedfuelsdependsonthesulfateandchloridecontent.Totalandpotentialsulfateandtotalchloridecontent,asmeasuredbythistestmethod,canbeusedasonemeasureoftheacceptabilityofgasolinecomponentsforautomotivespark-ignitionenginefueluse.1.1Thistestmethodcoversadirectinjectionionchromatographicprocedurefordeterminingthetotalandpotentialinorganicsulfateandtotalinorganicchloridecontentinhydrousandanhydrousdenaturedethanoltobeusedinmotorfuelapplications.Itisintendedfortheanalysisofethanolsamplescontainingbetween1.0-20mg/kgoftotalorpotentialinorganicsulfateand1.0-50mg/kgofinorganicchloride.1.2&si-value;Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.MaterialSafetyDataSheetsareavailableforreagentsandmaterials.Reviewthemforhazardspriortousage.
