【摘要】:Coatingweightisanindicatorofcertainfunctionalcharacteristicsofcoatedsubstrates(forexample,sealability,peelability,appearance).Themethodologydescribedinthispracticeisameansofdeterminingcoatweight.Thispracticedoesnotaddressacceptabilitycriteria.Theseneedtobejointlydeterminedbytheuserandproduceroftheproduct.Themethodologydescribedinthispracticeincludesoperatorassessmentofeffectivecoatingremoval.Thisisasubjectiveassessmentandrequiresoperatortrainingforconsistentresults.Thispracticeisapplicabletocoatedsubstratesinwhichonlythecoatingissolubleinthechosensolvent.Thesolventusediscriticaltothesuccessofthecoatingremovalprocess.Thecoatedsubstratemanufacturermustprovideguidanceinchoiceofsolvent.1.1Thispracticecoversaprocedurefordeterminingtheamountofcoatingappliedtoasubstrate,(forexample,film,paper,nonwoven).Theamountofcoatingisexpressedasaweightpergivenarea,(forexample,g/m2,lb/ream).1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
