【摘要】:Thispracticepermitsananalysttocomparetheperformanceofaninstrumenttothemanufacturer''ssuppliedperformancespecificationsandtoverifyitssuitabilityforcontinuedroutineuse.Italsoprovidesgenerationofcalibrationmonitoringdataonaperiodicbasis,formingabasefromwhichanychangesintheperformanceoftheinstrumentwillbeevident.1.1Thispracticecoverstheparametersofspectrophotometricperformancethatarecriticalfortestingtheadequacyofinstrumentationformostroutinetestsandmethodswithinthewavelengthrangeof200to700nmandtheabsorbancerangeof0to2.Therecommendedtestsprovideameasurementoftheimportantparameterscontrollingresultsinspectrophotometricmethods,butitisspecificallynottobeinferredthatallfactorsininstrumentperformancearemeasured.1.2Thispracticemaybeusedasasignificanttestoftheperformanceofinstrumentsforwhichthespectralbandwidthdoesnotexceed2nmandforwhichthemanufacturer''sspecificationsforwavelengthandabsorbanceaccuracydonotexceedtheperformancetolerancesemployedhere.Thispracticeemploysanillustrativetoleranceofx00B1;1%relativefortheerroroftheabsorbancescaleovertherangeof0.2to2.0,andofx00B1;1.0nmfortheerrorofthewavelengthscale.Asuggestedmaximumstrayradiantpowerratioof4x00D7;10-4yieldsx003C;1%absorbancebiasatanabsorbanceof2.Thesetolerancesarechosentobecompatiblewithmanychemicalapplicationswhilecomfortablyexceedingtheuncertaintyofthecertifiedvaluesforthereferencematerialsandtypicalmanufacturer''sspecificationsforerrorinthewavelengthandabsorbancescalesoftheinstrumentundertest.Theuserisencouragedtodevelopandusetolerancevaluesmoreappropriatetotherequirementsoftheenduseapplication.Thisprocedureisdesignedtoverifyquantitativeperformanceonanongoingbasisandtocompareoneinstrument''sperformancewiththatofothersimilarunits.RefertoPracticeE275toextensivelyevaluatetheperformanceofaninstrument.1.3Thispracticeshouldbeperformedonaperiodicbasis,thefrequencyofwhichdependsonthephysicalenvironmentwithinwhichtheinstrumentationisused.Thus,unitshandledroughlyorusedunderadverseconditions(exposedtodust,chemicalvapors,vibrations,orcombinationsthereof)shouldbetestedmorefrequentlythanthosenotexposedtosuchconditions.Thispracticeshouldalsobeperformedafteranysignificantrepairsaremadeonaunit,suchasthoseinvolvingtheoptics,detector,orradiantenergysource.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
