【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverspermanentmetalrailingsystems(guard,stair,andramp-railsystems)andrails(hand,wall,grab,andtransferrails)installedinandforagricultural,assembly,commercial,educational,industrial,institutional,recreational,andresidentialbuildings.1.2Thisspecificationisintendedtobeappliedtopermanentmetalrailingsystemsforbuildingsandtosuchrailingsystemsandrailshavingmajorstructuralcomponentsmadeofmetal,withtheirsecondarycomponentsmadeofmetalorothermaterialssuchaswood,plastics,andglass.1.3Thisspecificationconsidersthattoday''sandtomorrow''soveralloutlookisbasedonthehealthandsafetyofallpotentialusersofbuildings.Thecriteriaincorporatedinthisspecificationprovidefornormalandanticipatedbuildinguses,butnotforabusesforwhichthebuildinganditscomponentsarenotdesigned.1.4Thisspecificationestablishesbasicminimumrequirementsandcriteriathatleadtosatisfactoryproductsundernormaluseconditionsanddoesnotgiveconsiderationtodesigncriteriaforspecificfieldconditions,theestablishmentofwhichistheprerogativeandresponsibilityofthedesigner,specificationwriter,andcodeagencies.1.5SourcesofsupportiveinformationarelistedintheReferencesection().1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
