【摘要】:Thistestmethodissuitableforsettingspecification,foruseasaninternalqualitycontroltool,andforuseindevelopmentorresearchworkonindustrialaromatichydrocarbonsandrelatedmaterials.Inadditiontothepureliquidchemicalsforwhichexpansionfunctionsareknown,itmayalsobeusedforliquidsforwhichtemperatureexpansiondataarenotavailable,orforimpureliquidchemicalsifcertainlimitationsareobserved.Informationderivedfromthistestcanbeusedtodescribetherelationshipbetweenweightandvolume.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesasimplifiedprocedureforthemeasurementofdensityorrelativedensityofpureliquidchemicalsforwhichaccuratetemperatureexpansionfunctionsareknown.Itisrestrictedtoliquidshavingvaporpressuresnotexceeding600mmHg(0.8atm)attheequilibrationtemperature,andhavingviscositiesnotexceeding15cStat20C(60F).1.2Meansareprovidedforreportingresultsinthefollowingunits:Densityg/cm3at20CDensityg/mlat20CRelativedensity20C/4CRelativedensity60F/60F(15.56C/15.56C)Commercialdensity,lb(inair)/U.S.galat60FCommercialdensity,lb(inair)/U.K.galat60F.Note1Thistestmethodisbasedontheolddefinitionof1L=1.000028dm3(1mL=1.000028cm3).In1964theGeneralConferenceonWeightsandMeasureswithdrewthisdefinitionofthelitreanddeclaredthattheword"litre"wasaspecialnameforthecubicdecimetre,thusmaking1mL=1cm3exactly.AnalternativemethodfordeterminingrelativedensityofpureliquidchemicalsisTestMethodD4052.1.3Thefollowingappliestoallspecifiedlimitsinthistestmethod:forpurposesofdeterminingconformancewiththistestmethod,anobservedvalueoracalculatedvalueshallberoundedoff"tothenearestunit"inthelastright-handdigitusedinexpressingthespecificationlimit,inaccordancewiththerounding-offmethodofPracticeE29.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specifichazardstatementsaregivenin.
