【摘要】:Flashpointisoneofthepropertiesusedtodefinetheflammabilityofaliquid.Itisusedtoclassifyliquidsaccordingtotheirflammabilitybygovernmentalregulatoryagencies.Itmayalsobeusedtodeterminethepresenceofimpuritiesorcontaminantsinagivenliquid,suchasthepresenceofresidualsolventsinsolvent-refineddryingoils.SeeTestMethodsD56andD93foralternateflashpointtesting.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverproceduresfordeterminingwhetheramaterialdoesordoesnotflashataspecifiedtemperatureorfordeterminingthelowestfinitetemperatureatwhichamaterialdoesflashwhenusingasmallscaleclosed-cupapparatus.Thetestmethodsareapplicabletopaints,enamels,lacquers,varnishes,andrelatedproductshavingaflashpointbetween0and110C(32and230F)andviscositylowerthan150Stat25C(77F).Note1Testsathigherorlowertemperaturesarepossible.Note2Moreviscousmaterialsmaybetestedinaccordancewith.Note3Organicperoxidesmaybetestedinaccordancewith,whichdescribestheapplicablesafetyprecautions.Note4TheU.S.DepartmentofLabor(OSHA,HazardCommunications),theU.S.DepartmentofTransportation(RSPA),andtheU.S.EnvironmentalProtectionAgency(EPA)havespecifiedTestMethodsD3278asoneofseveralacceptablemethodsforthedeterminationofflashpointofliquidsintheirregulations.Note5ThesetestmethodsaresimilartoInternationalStandardsISO3679andISO3680.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandardshouldbeusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditionsandshouldnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethefire-hazardorfire-riskofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.However,resultsofthetestmaybeusedaselementsofafire-hazardorafire-riskassessmentwhichtakesintoaccountallofthefactorswhicharepertinenttoanassessmentofthefirehazardorfireriskofaparticularenduseThisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeand.

【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesamethodforthedeterminationofthevapourpressureofliquidpetroleumproductsconsistingofessentiallyorwhollyofhydrocarboncomponents,orcontainingoxygenatedhydrocarbonsofspecifictypesandatspecifiedmaximumconcentrations.Themethoddoesnotapplyoutsidetheseconcentrationlevels,nortoanyblendscontainingmethanolorotheroxygenatedhydrocarbonsnotcoveredinnote1.NOTE1Themaximumconcentrationofetherscontaining5ormorecarbonatomsis15%(V/V),andforethanolis10%(V/V).Forhigheralcohols,themaximumconcentrationis7%(V/V).NOTE2ForthepurposesofthisInternationalStandard,theterm"%(V/V)"isusedtorepresentthevolumefractionofamaterial.Forpetroleumproductscontainingmethanol,orotheroxygenatedhydrocarbonsoutsidethescopeofnote1,adryvapour-pressuretestmethodshouldbeused.Forliquefiedpetroleumgases,ISO4256shouldbeused.Thetestmethodmaybeappliedtovolatilecrudepetroleumwithavapourpressureexceeding10kPa,althoughtheprecisionhasnotbeenevaluated.FourproceduresaredescribedinthisInternationalStandard.ProceduresAandBarealternativeapparatusconfigurationsforproductswithaReidvapourpressureupto180kPa,ProcedureCisappliedtoliquidproductswithaReidvapourpressureabove180kPa,andProcedureDappliestoaviationgasolineswithaReidvapourpressureofapproximately50kPa.Vapourpressureisanimportantphysicalpropertyofvolatileliquids,andhascriticalperformanceimplicationsforautomotiveandaviationgasolines.Vapourpressureisalsooneofthepropertiesaffectingatmosphericevaporation,andisthereforeincreasinglyusedinregulationsrelatingtoemissionsandairqualitycontrol.Vapourpressureisalsoacriticalpropertylimitingtheperformanceandsafetyofoperationofequipmentduringtransferoperations.NOTEBecausetheexternalatmosphericpressureiscounteractedbytheatmosphericpressureinitiallyinthevapourchamber,theReidvapourpressureisapproximatelythe"absolute"vapourpressureat37,8℃.TheReidvapourpressurediffersfromthetruevapourpressureofthesampleowingtoslightvaporizationofthesampleandthepressureofwatervapourandairintheconfinedspace.
